I'm about to receive 2 Region 2 DVDs, at least one of which is in PAL format. I have my region 1 Pioneer DV-C503 connected with component video cables.
I plan to make SVCDs with them but I'm wondering first of all, how do I know if the PAL is interlaced or not? (I've seen mention of this problem) and will the PAL cause me any problems on my NTSC or can/will this problem be eliminated in the conversion?
I intend to use DVD2SVCD and have obtained CCE and I-Author. I have successfully authored a few working VCDs, but have not yet tried a DVD rip or made a WORKING SVCD. Since I know this is going to take a LOT of time with my 450MHz processor, I really would like to do it right the first time, so any words of wisdom or encouragement would be GREATLY appreciated...
