is there a way to get chapters in a xvcd? i've looked on the site and haven't found anything. i tried like vcds with vcdeasy. it won't let me add the file unless i take off the perform mpeg checks. it then burns the cd but when i pop it into my dvd player it won't play.

  2. You can use VCDEasy with the compliance check off.

However, you must ensure that your "XVCD" MPEG-1s have be remulitplexed to be "okay". That is, use TMPGEnc --> Files --> MPEG Tools --> Simple Multiplex

Then, load your mpeg file. Set your save file. Change the setting to "MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard)".

If this doesn't work, perhaps your player can't actually play XVCDs?

    Regards.

  3. Search the net for an old version of VCDEasy. In the last 3 'updates'
something was changed that fails run xVCD's or SVCD's
with chapters correctly on a minority of DVD players - the disc is
not recognised at all on two models. When I track
this down I'll let delphi.stuff know - in the meantime could you
provide the model and make for your DVD player?

The VCDeasy version you are looking for is pre aspi tools, pre
mpeg still conversion. I forget the version number.

    thx

how do you check off compliance in vcdeasy? i made a multitrack xvcd disc with nero and it works on my dvd player. of course, there's that little half second pause in between tracks and you can't rewind to the previous track. that's why i'm asking about how to do it this way.
