for the love of god, why can't i make a vcd?!?!

ok i'm using the galaxy triple pack to encode my dvd's to mpeg format and using nero to burn them to disc. TMPGenc settings are ntsc mpeg-1 352*240 29.97fps cbr 1150 i am using the videocd (ntsc).mcf from tmpgenc as my template. In nero i have make standard compliant cd checked and ntsc resolution encoding checked. it burns fine and palys fine on my apex dvd player which will play anything, but won't play on other players. anyone who helps me will be given access to my ftp to download the movies i convert. thanks in advance

just a thought but maybe the other players will play VCDs but not CD-R(W)s. I had that problem with a friend of mines toshiba player. It says it plays VCDs but wouldn't play my burned VCD. Then I realized that it doesn't handle CD-R so the only thing you can use it factory pressed VCDs from the store. Is this problem stopping you from starting your own private business? lol. It stopped me too.
