Hello,
All of the DVD players support (original) VCD
More and more players support SVCD
Most players that support MP3 also support xVCD, xSVCD, CVD.
But how common is the support of CVD exactly ?
Same as VCD ? Same as SVCD ? Same as XSVCD ? Or somehwere in between ?
I know it's a standard like VCD, SVCD and DVD.....but how standarized is it ?

There R 3 sides on every story;
Yours, Mine and the truth -
I know how to make a CVD, thanx.
But what do you mean it's as standard as DVD ? My players play "everything" that ends with VOB and/or MPEG/DAT, but most players don't.
Do you mean it's as standard as VCD (=100% support on ALL players) ?There R 3 sides on every story;

All player that Officially support SVCD should support CVD. Of those other that don't officially support SVCD, most of those do play CVD. There are also some players that don't support SVCD that do support CVD since it's a DVD spec mpeg-2 as well.

So the order of support is;
DVD --> VCD --> CVD --> SVCD --> x(S)VCD ?
