  1. I have been trying to back up my season 1 dvd's. Smartripper refuses to work. I think it is because there are 3 shows on it apposed to 1 movie. So I used Clad xp version 1.3. This worked for almost all except about 4 of the 22 episodes. The problematic episode is predominantly the middle show (the vobs are laided out in 1, 3, and 5 are the shows and 2, 4, and 6 are the behind the scene vobs). It is so bad that i get all kinds of blue screens of death. Even 2 of the behind the scene vobs are impossible to get. Is this arbitrary disc protection? Is there a program more fitted for multiple vob sets (multible shows on 1 disc)?

I have ripped a few disks with smartripper that were not just one movie, you can click the Stream Processing button to see what has been selected. Click the files button and select the ones you want, it may think there is only 1 short movie.

If your not sure which is the files, rip them all and sort them out later.

Try DVD decrypter,I've noticed that episode DVD's give Smartripper and Clad problems. DVD Decrypter has been to identify and rip every episode DVD i've tried.

Well maybe... But what if you only wanted 1 of the movies out of the 6 available on the disk, would it not be the procedure to de-select the ones you don’t want, and therefore the same as selecting the files you do want

  5. well I fixed the problem, but i am not necessarily sure of what the problem was. I was using a couple year old 8x DVD rom by creative labs. I bought a pioneer model 106s and all my problems went away. Smartripper even works better. It doesn't make sense why only about 5% of them would not back up, but oh well...45 dollars later and I am happy again. Thanks for all the advice everyone
