  1. I bought this video card just to be able to watch tv on my computer. It somehow doesnt work at all. I can hear the cable sound, channel 3, but there is no picture. I have a Geforce 3 ti200. I was wondering if you needed to have an ATI video card to be able to use it. I tried the Media Center 7.1 and 7.6.

  2. I have the same card. However, I do NOT use the drivers that came with the card. Instead I use the generic drivers from this site http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/

    Please note the folowing.
    1. Upgrade directx to 8.1
    2. the driver should be configured MANUALLY. The automatic config doesn't work.
    3. The ATI software will NO LONGER work wit this driver installed so use virtual dub. It's better anyway.
    4. It would also be a good idea to install the huffy codec, but you don't have to.

The results are great. You'll find the you'll have more features than those that came with the card. For those critics out there, go play in the street. I've done alot with this card. My next project is to find a cable decoder. I haven't tested the ones I've found yet. 8)

  3. Some digital cable co. require using a converter.Try hooking cable directly to t.v.and see what happens(if you see picture then it probably is the ATI drivers, open device manager, and look for error). You will probably have to use your converter inline between cable and computer and use the converter to change channels.
P.S.I tried those other drivers and it caused my system to lock up(and
I don't like to play in the street )Installing DirectX 8.1 is a must
    for proper capture.
