I just received a Pioneer DVR-104 today. Following advice in the comments section on this site, I installed it in place of my CDR drive and expected to be away. However, I get the error "driver not installed" when trying to burn with VCDEasy (I am starting with what I know!). It will play CDs and DVDs, but it is not being recognised as a CDR or DVDR.
I am not hugely computer literate - any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Grazer

VCDEasy cannot write to DVD-R, as far as I am aware. To write to DVD, you need to use DVD Authoring software, usually some is supplied with your drive. Click the "Author" link in the green bar down the left hand side for the names of some authoring products, and guides on how to use them.

I thought the DVR104 was a CD-RW as well - which is why I was trying a VCD first, which I am familiar with?
