Just started using Maestro (or rather trying to) and I am having problems getting the looping motion menu to work. I have been following the guide from Doom9 and everything seems ok apart from the looping motion menu. At the end of the clip it either goes straight on to the next menu (if there's one) or to the movie. I can only seem to get it to loop if all the menu buttons have no targets assigned - which defeats the object somewhat. The still and timeout options are fine.

It must be something I am doing wrong, or not doing, as I have searched the forums for similar problems and so far found nothing that answers my prob.

Would appreciate some advice from any Maestro veterans.

    Thanks.

Have you checked the LOOP box in ADVANCED (sorry, it has to be asked)? And have you put your motion menu .M2V file into the BACKGROUND box? I'll look at this tonight, but personally, I don't use looping menus. I try to author so a five-year old can put a disk in a player and just sit down and watch (my menus time out to the first chapter of the main movie after about 30 seconds).

I use motion menus, subtitles on/off menus and chapter select menus for the adults. If nothing is selected from the main menu while the motion menu plays (30 seconds MAX), the main movie will play. After all, when you buy or rent a disk, do you sit through many menu loops admiring the authors prowess with the authoring tool? Yeah, I don't either. Right now, I am encoding a bunch of Golden Age of Looney Tunes on laserdisk for transfer to DVD's.

I definitely checked the loop box in advanced. Not sure what you mean about background box? The .m2v (actually a .mpv - would this be a reason?) is set as the menu background with a .bmp subpicture overlay for my buttons. The reason I want it to loop is because it is an Airshow home video and I have a great shot of a Tornado doing a fly by and it would look good to have it looping!!.

I followed the guide and the Mastro help file but just can't get it to loop. I'm sure there must be something simple that I am missing - just haven't discovered it yet!
