  1. Hey people,i have had this problem for a while-but keep putting it off-but i now have a back-catalogue of movies which i cannot convert!.Im using CCE 2.50 with DVD2SVCD. When setting it up it goes like normal-but when it goes to actually start encoding the file - it brings up a error :

AVIFileOpen("C:\Movies\DVD-SVCD Output\AviSynth_file.avs") : According to the registry, the type of file specifide in AVIOpen does not have the haandler to process it.

All i know is that when bringing it into virtual dub brings up the VBR audio message.I have then tried taking the audio out (using virtual dub) saving it as a PCM .wav file. The using roxio to get just the avi (no audio) them sticking them together - ready to convert again using dvd2svcd-but it still wont work.

Please somebody must know how to fix this i swear it will turn me insane
    Thanks in advance

  2. Never understood what's the big deal with DVD2SVCD. Maybe you should do it step by step. You can isolate, identify and solve your problem more easily this way.

  3. You need to register "avisynth.dll". I don't use DVD2SVCD, so I don't know if it comes with avisynth.dll or if you have to install it manually. But when you install it manually, it comes with an install.reg file that creates the required registry entries. If you don't run the install.reg, then it will give you that error message that you listed.

Try d/ling a copy of Avisynth and running that install.reg file.
