  3. I can't seem to get Maestro or Spruce-up to burn my disc. I have tried Nero after creating a VIDEO_TS but my stand alone (Phillips DVD711) wont play, Nero wont let me burn at 1X speed it only defaults to 2.4X speed and I think that is to fast for my player, would that be right?
I have used DVD Workshop (burning at 1X speed) after re-encoding with TMPGEnc and it played alright except for the sync problems.

  4. Are you using the most current Nero? Nero5599.exe?
Can you watch the movie is Spruce and is it okay there?
Do you happen to have different media to try?
I have found the burning in mode 1 I cannot use the DVD in anything but the burner. When I burn in mode two they work fine in all the players that I have tried them on.
    Mode 1 DVD+RW work fine DVD+R don't
Mode 2 DVD+RW work and DVD+R do also.
    Let me know your answers

  5. I use SpruceUp, too, to retain AC3, but I don't use it to burn because it doesn't recognize +R. You need to export the title set to file, use IFOEdit to modify the aspect ratio for anamorphic movies, then use Nero to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to the +R disc. I have a 200i so I just use RecordNow to burn the VIDEO_TS to the drive. Works great.

    Two things,

    1. Use the latest NERO like the other guys have instructed.

    2. Download the latest firmware for your player from this site. (It helps with previous problems Philips didn't recognise with their player earlier)
