You'll spot I'm new pretty quick but been banging my head of a brick wall trying to find the answer out to this one. roblem is it's not what i want to hear! Can you help?
Archiving my family digital video collection to svcd. Managed to burn mpeg2 to svcd (nero5.5) so can play on home dvd system. But at this stage I have not edited the material. Too much, plus this will act as the 'master copy' of all that I've ever filmed (it will also free up my DV video tapes for reuse). I do intend to edit but want to take my time and do a good job. This means that I will need to get the material back off the disc at some point and into an mpeg2 format I can work with. My WinDVD won't allow me to open it, missing software i'm told. everything tells me that it can't be done but if you can 'rip' info of a DVD why not an svcdQuality always an issue. Sure this is an easy one..!
