Do any of you know if there is any way to compress a movie to fit onto one CD-R, or do you know how to put it onto two CD-Rs? Whenever I try to use Nero to burn a VCD longer than 80 minutes, it says that there isn't enough space on the CD. I know this is possible, but I'm not sure how.

here is a tip:
read.
this whole damn site is devoted to doing that. haven't you even looked under any of the links?
some people are so lazy. -
Try this:

If that one does not help take a nice long SLOW journey through
the "User Guides".

We all read and pray.
One requirement is at least 5 hours of reading " How to's" and a MINIMUM of 50 coasters.
Don't give up!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I was going to post "If you respond back in less than 5 days then
don't bother", but I thought it was a little rough.
I do not mind pointing people in the right direction. Sometimes that
is all it takes.
Goodluck again! -
From MrPhelps:
and a MINIMUM of 50 coasters.
I am about a 1/4 of the way there. I did my reading and burned on CD-RW. -
heh. i reeeeeally should buy some cd-rws
....
hmm... i guess the only thing that makes coasters for me, is me being stupid and trying to push my computer gently gently whilst its burning..... with no buffer under-run protection and a measly 2mb buffer.... it doesnt hold out very well.... hehe... -

8x on the fly is fine too!
my friend just got a cheapo 32x write cd-rom drive.... tested on my before installing on his system.
can do on the fly on mine @ 12/16x .... and burns fine @ 24x from hard drive (couldnt try 32 cause my media didnt support above 24x) -
Well I don't have a answer, but I'm using Nero and it won't let me select anything slower then 8x. I'd like to go 4x or less when making svcd's. So I have been told i should be doing. cheers Will

no 8x is fine. i burnt a load of vcds at 12x and they work perfectly.
it depends on your cd-writer....
whats the make and model of it? (important thing is the max speed and buffer (buffer underrun protection is useful too).
