  1. Okay: been working for months;

    ATI 8500 w/128 Meg Ram, MMC 7.6 and iuVCR, 1/2 terrabyte of storage with a Promise RAID card, Win xp (now Win 2K).

    I always capture RAW AVI no compression.

    All has been fine and I just noticed that the picture has been jerky, It drops MAYBE 1% of the frames, but the playback has what appears to be a 1 second "jump".

    Have rebuilt the sucker, reformatted and now back (happily) to Win 2K, but I can't figure this out.

    I do this for a living (as if that means anything) so I've gone through everything I can think of.

    I've another machine built EXACTLY athe same that's fine.

    ANY ideas of where to look?

  2. What is your source? Maybe your input cable is allowing RF noise to interfere with the input signal.
