can someone pls tell me if i can record from two sources onto my pc's hard drive and later on to cd using my cd-burner? meaning, instrumental from cd-rom drive and vocals from microphone into mic input or line-in. i also have a microphone mixer if that's required. my pc is an old pentium 2, 333, with 64 MB RAM and 4.3 GB hard disk. any help would be appreciated re. software required etc.

Just record both as seperate tracks and then mix them in something like soundprobe2 that should do the trick

thanks for that. only problem i see with recording as separate tracks is the vocals need to accompany the instrumental, for synchronisation, as it is hard to sing without the accompanying music. the idea is to somehow create a song on karaoke. the instrumental is karaoke music but on a normal audio cd.
someone told me to try goldwave but he wasn't too sure. perhaps someone out there might know. thanks.
