Hi,
I'm using WinXp and I'm trying to play (with Widows Media Player) an Mpeg1 encoded file which is
320x240, 25 frames and 44.1Kh 1 audio channel ( mono ).
The file plays for about 14 second and then the video stops.
Audio keep playing.
It almost impossible to move forward and backwards and I never get to the same place.
(when I skip to 2 minutes the video will play again for about 10 second or so
and then stops. when I go again to the 2 minutes point the video will play
but not from the same place as before and again will stop after 10 second or so ...)
My guess is that I'm using the wrong codac but it's the one that comes with WinXP.
I also has SonicFoundry Vegas Video which also recognize the the first 14 seconds of the file.
recently I downloaded a couples of Mpg files that are acting the same so it's not
only one file.(BTW I tried other Mpg programs in order to watch the files and all are acting the same).
What am I doing wrong ?
Thansk .
Lior

If every files you d/l act the same thing. It might be your hardware or software. Try to play these files in other computers and see what the result will be.
