Help - I've downloaded the VPAFI plugin and followed instructions; I've also downloaded the NIMO codec and tooLame for audio encoding. I've also done the thing in VPAFI plugin priorities like it says.
I've downloaded a SVCD and want to re-encode to VCD format. TMPEGenc will recognize the video, but not the audio. Weird, huh?
Thanks for having this board and helping.

I dunno whether this helps .. but your problem seems to be similar to ones I had before
try going to environmental settings under option .. and go to the 4th tab .. sorry .. forgot what it's called ... right click under directshow until it has higher priority than everything else ...
hope this helps -
If you wanna convert mpeg2 (SVCD) to mpeg1(VCD), I'd suggest you use DVD2AVI first to get d2v and wav file. Then load d2v as video source and wav as audio source. I found that TMPGenc cannot handle SVCD files very well even TMPGenc plus version.
