  2. Well... yeah it works -but- there are much better ways to do it.

The problem I have with DVDx is that it is not very good at explaining itself when it runs itno a problem (like source framerate to output framerate conversions) and leaves the 'newbie' stranded with either a long wait for a crappy set of CD's or it just gives up. I have also had my share of audio/video sync problems with the DVDx package. Overall an okay program but not nearly the best available for newbies.

I started using DVD2SVCD several months ago and have never looked back! It is much easier to use, it handles the ripping and encoding through automated scripts, and I've never had a bad set of CD's (when using a real DVD as the source). Plus it works well with a host of other conversions! There are even GOOD tutorials for it.

  3. Thx!!

I used DVD2SVCD a couple of times and it went 5 ***** except for a 2x minor glitches displaying it on the DVD ( a 1 sec pause or slowdown ) very rare any way...

    Any ideas?!?

    Thx again....
