    I have a DVD that has 7+GB on it. I thought single sided DVD's max out at 4+GB. What am I missing?

    Correct on the dual-layer bit.

    In anticipation of the common "then where can I buy dual-layer recordable media" question - you can't; those are pressed, not burned.
