    Ijust downloaded ASPI 4.71 and installed it. When I start up smartripper I still get ASPI adapter available, trying to unlock drive, No ASPI access to this drive. Ever since I installed windows XP my rip time went from 10 minutes to about and hour. Can someone please help. DVD Decrypter doesn't even read the drive with aspi. Drive is Hitachi GD-5000 16X

    Forget ASPI 4.71 and go back to 4.60. Do a search for ForceASPI and downgrade your ASPI installation to this version.

    this happend to me right when I installed ASPI 4.71 with my generic 16x dvd, I just play the movie first for a few seconds with powerdvd and the problem goes away, seems to unlock it....hope this helps you a bit.
