    hi
maybe it's a silly question and everybody here knows it but i've got a problem: i tried to rip my own dvds to vcds. i used two programs: MovieJack (a German prog, dunno if you guys know this) and DVDx. My problem is, that MovieJack creates nice Videos but the sound's only Mono... And DVDx produces a video with cool stereo sound but the picture is fairly bad (don't ask me why( .

well, therefore i thought that it would be the best if i encode a DVD twice: once with moviejack (for the picture) and once with DVDx (for the sound). But how can i put the sound from the one and the pictures from the other together without re-encoding all (i found that it would work with tmpenc but i don't want to encode the pics and sound again)?

is there a tool that combines the sound from one MPEG file with the pictures of another MPEG file without re-encoding?

    thank you,

    Freak

ps: Greetings from Switzerland - it's a cooooooool site!

    Hi Freak,
why doesn't you use the way via Smartripper-DVD2AVI-TMPGEnc? It gives you a great-looking VCD with full stereosound. (And, if you like, up to 100 min Video on one 700MB-CDR - thx to Sefy Levy!). The software you need is completely free; and under How to... in this site you will find a guide for doing it. I have got making a german-language guide. If you want to get it (or any other german-speakin guy/gal on this site), email me please.
    Greetings from Germany,

    Mirko.
