  1. I first had .avi movies so I encoded them with tmpegn to .mpg movies and so I packed them onto the cd but my VCD player didn't even detect that a VCD is running so I took the .mpg movies and encoded them with Nero (last version) and every thing went good but when I play the movie it freezes every 5 seconds for about 2 seconds.

  2. Nero has a crap encoder dont even bother using it, you were on the right track using TMPGenc. When you encoded did you choose a VCD template. When you used nero to burn your mpeg to disc did you just burn it as a data file, if so this is where you went wrong. You need to choose the VCD option when burning a VCD in nero.

  3. I did what you sadi exactly but is the burninig speed a factor in the quality cause I made my burning speed 16x

  4. Yes the burning speed can be a factor particularly on cheaper media, can cause it to stutter, or the picture to break up. Try slower speeds and see if this helps. Like I said though Use TMPGenc to encode, not nero.
