  4. The only video card I know of with external power was the 3dfx voodoo 5 or 6, I forget which. Please describe ALL of the connectors, you did not mention any video out at all, and was the video-in composite or VGA? I'm thinking this may be a Hollywood Plus card or something similar, does the "POWER" connector look like a PS2 port? Or a headphone jack?
The Hollywood, and the 3drx I think, has 1 VGA-in (this port looks like an S-video but it is not), 1 S-video-out, 1 VGA, one composite, and one RCA.

One thing you could try is to plug it in and see what Windows recognizes it as.

  5. Ok it has 1 power in like one you may see on a Cordless phone.

    It has 1 S-Video port

It has 1 Rca Video port

    It has no VGA port.

I am able to produce a picture of it and can email it to you ..
If you contact me at {apellic1@rochester.rr.com}I will reply with its picture.

  6. Except for the S-Video port, that is a precise match for a Webcam interface card which I have. I think what looks like a power connector is a microphone plug, mine is 2 or 3 years old and I haven't used it for a long time. And I can't find the camera, drivers, or manuals, sorry but as I recall it was pretty plug-and-play.

seems like there are a lot of people there looking for drivers for this thing, and some drivers have been found.

  10. That IS a webcam interface card. Same legend on my chip. The mystery connector, as I recall, is indeed a power take-off for the webcam.

I would have to assume it would not be adequate for high-quality video capture as webcams typically are max at 320x240, 15 fps.

However, just to repeat and not get your hopes up, that is a low-end interface card for a simple webcam.
