I have a question regarding encoding in NTSC Film for purposes of putting onto dvd+r with TMPGenc. If the source is a ripped dvd which reads 99% film in dvd2avi, do the inverse telecine and 3:2 pulldown filters need to be on? Also, what about if your source is 25 fps pal? And then, what about AVI's...
Up until I read another post on this top I thought 23.976 fps was valid only for vcd's so I had not experimented with it. I am encoding a 99% film dvd rip right now that I set up with TMPGenc wizard, which automatically put on the 3:2 pulldown and inverse telecine. Was wondering if this is correct, and what needs to be done with converting from different formats. Thanks.
