I was wondering if anyone has used Roxio EasyCD creator 5. I have the platinum version of this software and I am having problems.

    1. when I use videoimpression to try and convert an avi file( created with Adobe Premiere 5.1c) it shows upside down!

    2. when I burn my mpeg video to cd ( I use TMPGEnc for the conversion) I cannot find anywhere to give the video a name so I get MUSIC01, MUSIC02 etc for each video.

    3. Once I have created video on a cd I cannot then add to the cd without creating a new volume and this in turn causes the previous video to become inaccessible.

    4. I have had no luck setting up menus

At first I thought OK, its me I’m new I must have made a mistake but I have asked a friend and my dad to try and we all get the same results, are we a bunch of thickies(don’t answer that!) is there some Roxio logic we are so obviously not following? I have tried Roxio support but so far have made no progress.

If this doesn’t work I am thinking of getting NERO but I have heard that this will not work if there is another Cdburner software on the PC, anyone know if this is the case?

  2. 1.) Don't use that to convert your video. Use TMPGenc which is free or aome other better program. I have never used the "Impession" funstion but I imagine its not too good.

2.) Go to video CD at top and click properties. All the info is there for you to edit for the name etc.

3.)??? Once its burnt its burnt. Otherwise adding videos is drag and drop. Click the + key to add an available file to the list. Better yet just use the wizard to walk you through it.

4.)Menus do work but they are tricky. Follow the turtorial on this site in the authoring section and it has a wlak through. Thats how I learned.
Not only am I perfect but I'm Canadian too!

    Thanks,

I now know how to access different volumes( using session selector) and I can give the overal CD a name but I still can't see how to name the individual video clips. Each mpeg has a name which is clearly seen when dragged into the playlist/start sequence but this gets lost when the video is burnt to the cd and thats when I get MUSIC01,MUSIC02 etc

  4. Nero works fine for me..also with other programs. Use TMPG for conversion into compliant MPEG and NERO to burn.

Videopack almost always reencodes...so don't use it.

There is a 5.3 update if Í''m not mistaking...could try that,

    Greetz.

What are you talking about, it always re-encodes if the source is not correct, give it a proper mpeg 1 and it works just fine.

Easy CD Creator, and Video pack are two different programs, but they both do the job. VP is much more expensive but makes superb VCD's
