Is there a way too add permanent subtitle to DVD .m2v without re-encoding. I use spruceup and would like to have the subs permanently on the mpg2 file before I author them with spruce up? any help would be apreciated.

Permanent subtitle requires reencoding. If you are dvd you can make selectable subs but as you probably have noticed does only the more advanced and expensier authoring tool support that.
