After getting a consumers action group involved and threatening to sue, I got my money back from Samsung. Horrible player and worst customer service.
Bad luck with all 3 different players tried to give me!
Be warned.
I now have a Pioneer 5 disc and am happy again.

I don't know, I've had great luck with their customer service. Before I bought my Samsung LCD monitor, I emailed them a lot of questions which were promptly answered. The guy even told me where to buy at the best price (although he made it clear he wasn't supposed to).
I did have Samsung DVD player I didn't like (free through some deal way back when so I can't complain), but I love their TV's and computer monitors. -
I have a samsung dvdrom, and have had no problems...it plays and rips everything, so i cant complain..sorry about your luck
