    not sure if this is the best place to post this.. anyway i've got some asf files, however I can't use the media player slider on them, I can only play them straight through.. Is there a way to change this so that I can use the slider?

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    Sounds like the spacing between the key frames are very large, which makes moving fast forward very difficult, and can crash/lockup player. Nothing you can do apart to convert to AVI with key frames every 10
