odd audio sync problem

ok, on my comp the mpegs i make are synced fine but when i make a vcd the audio goes in and out of sync. could it possibly be my dvd player?

What did you use to make the Mpeg 1 ? if it was TMPGEnc, did you use a VCD template ?. Did you use a good quality disk ?

i used crappy disks so thats probably the prob but when i used ksvcd it worked fine
