  1. Okay...first the details.

I have a Samsung S221 DVD Player, 800MB Memorex CD-R, 10x Sony Burner, VCDEasy. I have properly taken the avi's and converted them to MPG using TMPGEnc and they run fine on the computer.

    Problem:

When burning them onto a cd it doesn't seem to load properly. I have used both nero and vcdeasy, at 4x to 10x. Followed all tutorials step by step.

I know it's not the DVD Player b/c I have tried other VCDs and those work. I also have created a couple other VCDs in the past and they work too. I have no clue what I've changed or what has happened.

So, I think the problem is with the burning and my DVD player combined. Problem on the DVD player is the loading part. After a few seconds up to a minute it eventually starts playing. But it does nothing...until I search 5 mins into it and it starts playing but a bit choppy. Search to 10 mins into and it starts playing fine.

Is burning the VCD fine alone? Yes. I have tried the VCDs that I have burned on my friends DVD players and they work no problem.

So, does anyone have any ideas as to how my settings should be on VCDEasy for my VCDs can work on my Samsung S221?

Any ideas would be great. Even what files I should see when I explore my VCD.

  2. It sounds like you have a brand of media that is not too compatible with your player, as you say the discs work fine on a friends player.

Try a different brand of media and see if it works, or try CDRW if you are worried about wasting discs.
