I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I downloaded a divx movie and loaded it into TMPGEnc. The movie info was 480x480 29.97fps 44100Hz stereo 94min 25secs long. I used the project wizard to crated a DVD (NTSC). I didn't mess with any of the options. I loaded the converted mpg into Ulead DVD Factory 1.0 and burned it to DVD with that, and when I popped the movie into my DVD player, it looked like some low-rez pixelated Chinese VCD! What did I do wrong? What's the absoluet best method for converting DVIX to DVD or SVCD, regardless of how many discs I need? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hi if you are creating a SVCD make sure that your motiong estimate quality is set to Highest Quality (Slow) and not estimate or fast or anything like that. This should help with the pixel problem. You should also try to keep your video rate between 1200-2300 approximately. The higher the number of course the higher your quality.
