  1. Ok I converted my DivX file to an MPEG with TMPGEnc and when I watch either of the those 2 files on my computer it is perfect quality. Then I used Nero to convert the MPEG to a VCD...but now when I watch it on my computer/DVD player, I think I lost some FPS and also the color changes every few minutes to purples and pinks.

I saw something about color changes to purple in the FAQ but there was nothing there that helped me out.

When you use Nero, why did you say you used it to convert the MPEG to VCD ?, If you had already converted the DivX to an Mpeg 1, then no further conversion is necessary, unless the conversion you did in TMPGEnc was not correct.

In TMPGEnc "load" a VCD template, PAL or NTSC the output will then be correct for a fully compliant VCD, which Nero will use to author the VCD

A couple of other things that come to mind with colour problems, make sure you don't have installed the SMR (Angel Portion) codec, if you do get rid of it...

Make sure the DirectShow filter priority is higher in TMPGEnc

    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
