Hello peeps,
I have been in sales for the past 7 years and it is starting to take its toll on me, my spouse has been convincing me that I need to get into the IT field since I like being on the PC so much...
I make a very high 5 figure income annually in the midwest and dont want to take too much of a hit.... Are any of you in IT, and if so what designations and degrees should I pursue for this possible career change.
Furthermore, is there any advise, incite and/or pros & cons of this fasinating field...
Thanks!
Trix

trixiedivx, if you're earning a high 5 figure salary, why jeopardize it and try to land a job in IT?? You mentioned that you were burnt out on sales?? Best advice I could give you: is stay in sales for now, take as many classes as you can handle, get a degree, and go from there. You mentioned that you're in the midwest? So am I. (the real midwest, not ohio) I scored my graduate degree from UofI, all paid for by the military. This is a tough, competitive business but I enjoy it and I'm sure others can say the same. If this is what you really wanna do, good luck
