I currently rip DVD's using DVD2SVCD. I also use either TMPGENC OR CCE. Both programs work well. My question is this? Really a dilema./
When I finally get the MPEGs ready to be ripped, I check them out on the pc. When I play them, they look great, when I TV out the MPEG to the TV they look great.. NO shadowing/ghosting nor movement noise...Pixelating...
When I rip them with NERO, and play them in my Phillips Magnavox 751 I see pixelation and some ghosting. Then when I place them in my Pioneer dvd player in my PC and TV it out the pixelation and ghosting is gone?
Could this be a birate issue for the standalone? I mean it plays dvd's just fine... How can I figure out how to fix this issue with the rips? Should I try to lower the Birate or raise it? I ripped another movie and it was fine...THe entire movie turned out great. Same settings...
Can anyone offer any assistance or an answer???
Thanks
Spankey

What you really need is a friend with a standalone to see how it plays there. You can't compare what plays on PC (file or DVD Rom) to what plays on a standalone.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
