Advice on DVD players

Hello, I currently have an Apex AD-600A the unit has the loophole menu but I rarely take advantage of it. I was thinkabout selling my unit and getting a different one because I would like my VCD's pictures to be a lil more clear and I have heard that some other players do better jobs, Also I have not ut any heatsink in my apex is that recommended?

Ive noticed that my current APEX does MEPG1 stills with poor quality,
thought he previous one I had did a great job! Sorry, I cant remember
the units models of the top of my head. At any rate, the MEPG2 stills
are very good.

Maybe try your disk at the store before you buy, Ive been forced to
do that in the past.
