    I d/l an avi and when I try to play it, it shows a screensaver sort of thing. I can hear the movie, but can't watch it. Am I missing some kind of program to watch this?

    You are probrably missing the required divx codec. Download and install the nimo codec pack, it will have just about all the codecs you will need.
