Using Vivastar CDr's on Sony DVP-S535D

Hi

I'm using Vivastar CDr's for VCD and SVCD on my Sony DVD-Player. Sometimes they work good and sometimes the DVD Player gives me the Error "No Disc" and doesn't do anything. Why's that ?

And after playing them after a couple of time, the cdr's getting bugged - sound problems, blocky picture..

Is there another brand that work fine with this DVD-Player ? Tried a couple of different brands like: Imation, TDK and so on.

Have you tried cleaning the DVD?

You may be getting the "no disc" if the laser is dirty.
