I've written a quickie little tool I call ntscfixsonfile (command line only, sorry) that will "fix" the *.son file that SubRip creates so that it can be imported directly into DVDMaestro without going through pulldown twice (once without drop_frame and once with drop_frame).
It just modifies the subtitle timestamps in the *.son file by 29.97/30, which will make them be properly in sync when you import them onto your DVDMaestro timeline.
If you're interested in a copy, just shoot me a message and I'll send it to you (it's small, like 40K).
Of course, if I've overlooked something and this tool isn't really necessary, let me know that too.
