    Hello,

    I have this strange problem with my new PC, every few days Intervideo WinCoder and WinDVR (as well as PowerVCR 3) just refuse to record, i can see the preview just fine but the mpegs come out as 0 bytes, this problem occures in Win98 and WinXP, did anyone see this kinda of behavier before ?

    swistching off the PC seems to help fix the problem but not all the time.

    appricate any help ?

    I've had a similar problem with virtualdub, it tells me that certain resources are in use and it can't connect to the capture driver. I had it on my AIW 128 and just saw the same thing on my Gainward geforce4 4200 (on the ATI it also happened with the ATI tv player) so it appears to be a windows thing. I'm on win2k. My theory is that it's a media player problem, and that it grabs ahold of resources and doesn't let go after you exit. Rebooting works for me, it's just a pain.
