Depends what you mean by higher resolution. Higher than (S)VCD standard? If that's what you mean, then yes, you can capture at 640x480(NTSC), 720x480(NTSC), and same for PAL formats. The mpeg file would have to be burned as a "non-compliant" X(S)VCD though. I have an Askey Tview99 with the Bt484 chipset and I capture at 640x480 and encode at the highest bitrate possible to avoid alot of blockiness, then burn with Nero with "compliant CD" unchecked in SVCD comp settings. If you mean capturing HDTV or something, then no way, not yet, and probably not for a long time.

If you mean you are restricted by the cards drivers to 352 x 288 or 252 x 240 like you are with Hauppage Cards etc you will have to find generic drivers to capture higher. 768 x 576 or 640 x 480 etc but prepared to loose some on the full functionality of your card.

Can anyone suggest what generic drivers could be used and where to get these?
