When are the Divx(MPEG4)-Enabled Standalone DVD Players going to hit the market ???????Is it going to be a very long time ?And if it is available, where can I buy one?

There are only two right now... the MS xbox, but you have to hack it to get it to work, and a Samsung asian model DVD player with a flashable codec ROM set.
I don't have either one, so don't ask... but as they have started, soon others will certainly follow. Apex's 2003 players may very well work, since their existing newer players cover so many formats.

You could make yourself a crappy little computer with a TV out and just play your Divx files through there.
