  1. I recently converted a divx file to Mpeg for VCD burning and got a purple haze that pops up and goes away all the time. It does it on both discs and the files were already cut whenever I recieved them. The file is 136 MB,
352 x 288, 24 Bits, 42928 Frames, 12.500 Frames/Sec, 40 KB/Sec, MS-MPEG4 V3. The audio is MPEG Layer-3,56 kBit/s, 24,000 Hz, Stereo. Now, is it something that can be fixed? It is weird, it pops up for a few seconds, disappears, comes back again and disappears. I didn't burn it to a disc yet, since I always test my MPEGS before burning.

  3. Yes, I did read that. I am not using Angelpotion at all. I have even installed the other codec. I still get the purple crap in my picture. I don't know what caused it, is there anyway someone could introduce some kind of watermark into the picture that shows up when converted? Any other ideas?

  5. Finally someone else with the same problem I've been having.
I have the same purple patches.
I have tried many different codecs, Windows 98, ME, XP, I've tried a few different video cards, and many different
templates and I see it on every divx->VCD or SVCD conversion I've done. If I do a conversion of a Screener avi file it turns out fine, but every HQ Divx has the purple patches.
I have not found a solution yet, but I would like to keep talking on the topic, and hopefully someone can
help us out with this problem.
