I'm a nebie to vcd/svcd. I have successfully burned vcd's and svcd's, however when I play them on my Panasonic rv31 or my Apex 1200 the vcd slide show looks good and in good proportion 4:3 aspect ratio. When I play the SVCD on either player on the same JVC TV I get what looks like a 16:9 aspect ratio, but the video slide show actually looks compressed vertically. Is this the way SVCD's are supposed to be?
Thank you in advance Diskman

Hello pal,
What resolution did you use on SVCD?
If you used SVCD standard resolution, your standalone may not ne SVCD compatible.
Take care
