  1. I have tried the DVD2SVCD demo version but that logo kills it for me.
I have also tried DVDx 2.0... It works great and its easy to use, but the
picture quality doesnt seem to be that "Great" it's more like a "Good" (orginally DVD would be "Excellent").

Would using Smart Ripper, DVD2AVI & TMPGEnc give me better results?

  2. I've been using virtualDub for the audio, TMPGEnc for encoding, and Nero for burning with excellent results (usually, just posted an audio sync question myself).

  3. Yes, I think I can definitively say that using Smartripper->DVD2AVI->TMPGenc will give you MUCH better results. The only really great thing about DVDx is the convenience....but you should know that you can have all the convenience of DVDx with either TMPGenc or DVD2SVCD. You can set up DVDx as a frameerver to TMPGenc (thereby having the convenience and the picture quality of TMPGenc) or you can use DVD2SVCD and set it to use TMPGenc as the encoder. You can get more info on both of these processes here or at www.doom9.net

    Hope I helped.

  4. Does any one know why I get the "Cant use 3/2 pulldown" error when I use DVDx? Do you think this is why my picture quality using DVDx is not "Great" but just "Good"?
