I dont think one exists. Cdr media simply cannot be read fast enough to transfer that much data at at time. The disk wont spin fast enough. Im not sure what the max bitrate allowed for a cdr would be but I suspect it would be much closer to 5000kbits per sec. Check the dvd player compatibility list to find some players that can accept high bitrates.

I had a Sampo DVE631CF which could read miniDVD encoded at the standard 9800 rate. They played perfectly. They 700MB chunks ripped from DVD and burned UDF\ISO with Nero. Did not try SVCD at 8000,but I would guess that if it could read miniDVD burned at 9800 on a CDR it probably would read your 8000 SVCD. All of Sampo current line have miniDVD playback.

To begin with you get 15 minutes on a disk at full DVD resolution.
You can also transcode the VOB and get 45 minutes on a disk.

Well thats exactly why I posted what I did. If the player you wanted didn't exist than wouldn't it save you time if you knew not to bother looking for it at all? Obviously I was mistaken and for that I apolize but what's with the attitude? But maybe if you were a little more patient and a little less brash you would have taken the time to realize that the dvd player list search is customizable. By checking SVCD and MINIDVD you get a thourough yet managable list of encoders that can play high bitrate XSVCDS. With these search parameters you can find a handful of players that match your criteria in a matter of seconds. Sure its probably not the full list of players that support 8mbit maxes but its a hell of alot more info than you got in this forum. Now if only I had practiced what I am now preaching I could have saved myself some embarrassment

wulf109, if you are fitting 45mins on a single disk then your avg bitrate cannot be any higher than 3mbits per sec. At this avg there is probably no benefit to having a max bitrate as high as 8mbits because your bitrate will almost never get that high.
