    I ripped a movie with smart ripper then tried to convert it with dvd2avi. I get the video file but no audio. It does work with other movies just not this one.

    is track one dts perhaps? make sure you have the right audio track and decode or demux settings correct. if unsure keep changing and saving the project creating an audio output for each track till you have the one you want.
