  1. Hi,
I am looking for a DVD player that can do random play on MP3s. I already have several MP3 CDs that play in my car stereo and I want to use these so the he player should support long filenames and multisession CDs. ID3 tag support would be nice but not essential. Any reccomendations would be helpful.

I have heard that the Panasonic DVD-RP52 will do this but haven't been able to confirm it.

  2. Try that "DVD Players" link on the left. It tells you about DVD players.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. I know the link gives me some feedback but I would like some personal reccomendations. Most of the reviews about the differnet players do not specifically mention random play of MP3s or multisession capability.

What you are looking for doesn't exist yet.My suggestion would be to connect your soundcard to your amplifier and use your computers'
    media player.

  6. Actually it looks like the Panasonic DVD-RV32 does everything but the ID3 tag support. I went to the store and took a multisession disk with long filenames and it was able to play it. It did random so long as you pushed teh random button before pushing play.

Sony DVP-NS315 plays MP3 great, it will repeat individual files, folders, or hte whole disc. I don't think it's got ID3 support though. But on the plus side, it reads CD-RW and CD-R absolutely flawlessly, and it has some sony technology that makes discs read fairly quickly. It plays XVCD up to like 4000 kbps too. Not a bad player for only $150.
