  1. I use CladDVD to rip dvds to my Hard Drive. I rip the entire dvd as ONE file thus the loading of the vobs and noticable skipping while they load? I tape them by the way...

I use PowerDVD to play them out due to there is NO macro out from it...

Now I tested just playing the DVD thru my player and it played fine, then I ripped it to the drive and the movie seemed to skip about every 20 seconds?Almost as if the CPU had a surge of some sort and the player was having trouble keeping up with the file playing?

I use and ATI Radeon to play the dvds to the tv/out.....Its not that becuase it works fine with my computers dvd player.. Its either the PC or the player???

Are there any tweeks I can do to powerdvd or my pc to help it play the dvd VOB file better....

Thanks for your time.. If you need any more info just let me know...

    Spankey...

  2. Hiya

PowerDVD has a hardware encoder option if you have the
model of ATI video card that supports mpeg-2 acceleration.
Run PowerDVD, right click on the screen (the curtains bit)
and then choose Video from the dialog box tabs. Check the
    Hardware acceleration tab.

You did not mention your system spec/speed etc.
