NERO 5.5.9.0 and nero express

I have the latest Nero but I can only get to the NERO EXPRESS Menu... can somone tell me how to get to the regular Nero without the express? I don't see any other option ... when I hit the NERO button at the button I just get an advertisement for NERO .. please help Thanks!

no i mean ... i DON'T want it to start with NERO express... just regular NERO thanks!

Did you install 5.5.9.0 as an upgrade/update for say 5.5.8.2 or did you just install 5.5.9.0? I ask this because when I did the update from 5.5.8.0 to 5.5.8.2 (which was first version with express) I had the same thing happen. When I uninstalled Nero completely and reinstalled 5.5.8.2 it gave me the option to change interfaces when pressing the "NERO" button while in express. My guess is that it will do the same thing in 5.5.9.0. It might even start up in the older interface after the reinstall because 5.5.9.0 has a radio button on the tool bar to switch to express. Assuming nero is installed in c:\program files\ahead\nero

Click Start then Run

"C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\nero.exe"

for the familiar Nero interface.

"C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\nero.exe" /w

for Nero Express

Alternatively use Explorer to find where Nero was installed and 'drag' nero.exe to desktop to create a shortcut for future use.

donzo44 hit on the main thing in that Nero must be loaded into it's default directory (Program Files\ahead\Nero). If it is loaded into another folder, for example (Program Files\Nero) it will always open Nero express (ver. 5.5.8.2 and after) even when using the DOS switch /w at the run command and you will always get the advertisement for Nero when you press the Nero button on the bottom of the Express interface. Be sure to use the default install folder and if when loading the 5.5.9.0 update it will give you at the Start, Program Files, ahead Nero program menu icons for Nero Burning Rom (older interface) and Nero Express.
