With AIW Radeon, I wanted to capture to a custom setting: 640x480,MPEG1,6mps - no problem. Unfortunately my setting got changed to capture at "GOOD" quality setting which is something like MPEG2,720x480,4mps. But....

When trying to re-encode to VCD, TMPGenc says it sees 600,000,000 frames to convert and will take like 37,000 hours to complete. I haven't figured out how long that is but don't think I need to.

Anyone have an idea on how I can get that MPEG2 capture to VCD? Its one of my few missing episodes of B5 (517-War Without End-Part 2). I tried to use DVD2AVI but it just gaffed at it.
    Have a good one,

I suppose one could get that impression, if figuring out how to run it was too much for them, as it seems to be for a surprising number of unfortunates. However, for the tens of thousands that can figure out how to run the mind-numbingly simple ATI MMC, it is a very handy app.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Well, capturing with AIW MMC 7.7 (and 7.6, 7.5, 7.1, 7.0) has been absolutely fine for me. ESPECIALLY with Stinky's tool and the advent of 7.5 that allowed for clean cut/merge with TMPGenc.

Anyway...just looking for help in fixing my problem.

djtrixx, although your suggestion may help with future issues you didn't come close to helping with the CURRENT issue.

Mirror_Image, your right...ATI MMC is just fine.
