I have seen alot of utils that can join mpeg1 and mpeg2 files, but I have tried to join togethier some mpeg4 files I just got recently and can't figure out how.

I know how to comvert them into a mpeg2 format and cut and join them that way, but I was just wondering if there is a way to that I can join mpeg4 (divx) files togethier without convertting them first?

Plus, I am confuss'd on how to use the new 5.02 codec that divx came out with. When I configure the mpeg coding or edit it. With Divx Pro.. Is there a executable or do I have to use a program like TEMG..

I only startted to know about this 3 days ago.. Thanks..

I am pretty sure that VirtualDub can do this....I use it to join all sorts of AVI's together....I just don't know if any were mpeg4...Make sure that direct stream copy is checked on both audio and video..Open first file then select append video file and it lets you choose another to be joined to first.
There are also la few avi's editors in tool section to the left...

Okay, that worked great. Only took under 8 mins for each ones I wantted to join togethier. I saw a guide on another site about 15 hours on how to do it. You use VirualDub > Open the avi and then like you said stream both the Audio and Video full compression. Then File > Append File and open the second one you want to add to it. Then Save(alt-f7) as a different name and it joins them. Now this only works if the files are the same rez and bitrate and with the same audio quailties.

Thank you. After reading the post I did a search for vdub and found the guide.
